About Andrew

I support charities and social enterprises with their property issues, ensuring that the trustees understand the obligations on them regarding what is often their greatest asset, and that they comply with the duties on them when dealing with it.

Andrew joined Russell-Cooke as a partner in 2017, having previously been a partner at a national firm leading the property support for its nationally top rated charity and education practices.

Andrew has spent his entire career advising charities and other third sector bodies on their property issues and requirements, including sales, leases, management issues and developments. He has particular experience on property issues arising from charity mergers and incorporations, as well as being an expert on property issues for schools.

Andrew regularly speaks and writes on third sector property issues, including for Civil Society and MBL. He also leads on the charity team’s partnership with the Ethical Property Foundation, which is the sole referral partner to the Charity Commission for land and property advice.

Andrew Small knows our charity well and can instantly bring background knowledge and understanding to support a new situation.
