About Christopher

Cross-border succession can be exceedingly complex at a time when people are least able to deal with such issues. I aim to assist my clients by cutting through that complexity for them.

Christopher assists the private client team through his qualification as a notary public, and his expertise in advising clients domiciled in both England & Wales and overseas on a range of tax, trusts, estate planning and succession-related matters.

He specialises in cross-border matters and has particularly good experience of obtaining UK grants of probate for deceased individuals who died domiciled outside the UK. In addition Christopher advises on property ownership structures for ‘non-doms’ and general cross-border estate planning.

Christopher qualified as a solicitor in 2009 into the international wealth planning department of an international law firm, where he worked in both their Geneva and London offices. He also spent a year at a firm in Guernsey.

Christopher joined Russell-Cooke in September 2013. He was promoted to partner in 2020 and led the French department before becoming a consultant in 2022.

Christopher completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in International Succession and Probate.  He began practising as a notary public in 2023 and in this capacity is able to provide valuable support to the firm as a whole.

Christopher Salomons advises his clients on tax, estate and succession planning, and trusts matters, including those with an international dimension.
