About Joanna
Irrespective of the allegation, I understand the significant impact that a criminal investigation can have on my clients’ lives. My conscientious preparation of cases from pre-charge to appeal reflects this. I have a decade of experience ranging from road traffic offences to the importation of firearms.
Joanna joined Russell-Cooke in September 2022 having previously headed the magistrates’ court and youth court department at her previous firm. She has almost a decade of experience in criminal defence and her training was undertaken at a niche central London practice specialising in serious and complex crime, with clients across the country.
She has experience across a broad range of criminal matters including international fraud, murder, firearms importation, terrorism, drugs conspiracies and serious violence.
Joanna is a persuasive advocate and regularly attends the magistrates’ and youth courts. She acts on a private and legal aid basis, undertaking both litigation and advocacy. As she is able to represent clients in interview under caution, clients can benefit from her expertise from the start of proceedings. She is also qualified under the Litigation Accreditation Scheme.
