Russell-Cooke has promoted Alexandra (Alex) Mackenzie-Smith to the role of legal director.
The role was first established in December 2022 and Alex’s appointment to the role, effective from 1 December 2024, has brought the number in the cohort to 11.
Alex is in the private client team and is based in the firm’s Bedford Row office. Having joined Russell-Cooke in 2014, she advises individuals and families on wills and estate planning, the administration of estates (probate), creating and administering trusts and creating and administering powers of attorney. She has particular experience of tax planning relating to gifting, separating and varying estates after death, as well as guiding both UK and overseas executors through the complexities of the UK probate and tax system. Alex’s work often includes an international dimension and a focus on private wealth philanthropy.
Congratulations to Alex on her promotion to legal director. Alex contributes diverse experience and exceptional client relationship skills to the private client team. The role of legal director recognises strong technical expertise in addition to excellent mentoring and management skills. We all wish Alex good luck in her new role.
