Russell-Cooke grows insolvency practice with new partner hire
Russell-Cooke has recruited Simon Jerrum as its new head of restructuring and insolvency.
Simon is a highly regarded insolvency lawyer, with particular expertise in complex contentious insolvency disputes often involving concurrent proceedings in multiple jurisdictions and the recovery of assets based overseas. He advises insolvency practitioners, directors, companies, investors and high-net-worth individuals on a wide variety of insolvency matters, and has been involved in some of the most high-profile insolvencies in recent years. He has extensive experience of co-ordinating litigation in multiple jurisdictions, and has substantial experience of disputes before the English courts in addition to litigation and arbitration in key venues around the world.
Simon has been recognised in the leading directories, where he is described as “a truly standout individual in this field”, with “an impressive, in-depth knowledge of insolvency law and practices and has an exceptional ability to think strategically and provide pragmatic, effective and cost-efficient solutions”.
Simon is a solicitor advocate qualified in England and Wales and is also admitted to practise in the British Virgin Islands. He has almost 15 years’ experience, having previously practised at international law firms including Shearman & Sterling, Norton Rose Fulbright and HFW.
