Russell-Cooke partnership shortlisted for Business Charity Award
Russell-Cooke is delighted to have been recognised in the Third Sector Business Charity Awards 2024 shortlist in the ‘Legal’ category for our partnership with Getting on Board to deliver the Trustee Learning Programme.
The Business Charity Awards recognise the organisations forming trailblazing charity partnerships, celebrating "the incredible synergy between business and charity, showcasing the companies that are leading the charge in creating positive change."
The partnership, which began in May 2023, combines Russell-Cooke’s charity law expertise with Getting On Board’s mission to empower individuals to serve as trustees. The goal is to help broaden participation on charity boards, particularly from under-represented groups. In addition to legal expertise, Russell-Cooke offers financial support to the charity which enables it to provide its Trustee Learning Programme free of charge to a diverse audience.
Between May and December 2023 the events secured almost 1,600 bookings: 97% of people who attended said they would recommend the session to someone else and 98% of trustees said the session gave them the tools to become a more effective trustee.
Russell-Cooke Solicitors have partnered with the charity Getting on Board to deliver a programme of accessible, high-quality governance training for charity trustees.”
“All charities know the value of having a diverse and empowered board of trustees, so it’s great that our partnership with Getting on Board to deliver the amazing Trustee Learning Programme has been recognised in this way”.
The winner in the ‘Legal’ category will be announced on 16 May at London Marriott Grosvenor Square.
