The Silicon Cup Regatta, now named after principal sponsor Russell-Cooke, is set to embark from the Solent, Portsmouth, on 17 September 2024 for a two-day annual charity event. The firm sponsored the event for the first time in 2023. The Regatta has seen over 7,000 competitors since its inception in 2000 and attracts some of the world’s leading IT firms.
The Silicon Cup is a significant charity event which has raised over £1 million for its chosen causes over the years, making a difference to the lives of many in the UK. Last year alone, participants raised £48,000. This year, the event will be raising funds for three charities:
A gala dinner will be hosted on the first night in Cowes on the Isle of Wight with competitions and auctions aimed at boosting the fundraising efforts.
Members of Russell-Cooke’s corporate and commercial team led by partner Peter Jeffery, will also be participating in the Regatta.
