Angharad Lynn is a partner in the private client team. She joined Russell-Cooke in April 2025 having previously headed up the London Private Client team of a national firm. 

Angharad has particular expertise in cross-border estate planning and administration. She supports globally mobile clients with assets in several jurisdictions on estate planning, working with their advisers in other countries to ensure they can pass on their assets as they wish. She also assists UK clients who have holiday homes abroad, dealing with both the legal and tax implications. 

Angharad is a fluent French speaker and is particularly experienced at dealing with Anglo-French estates. She liaises with lawyers in other jurisdictions to find the best solutions for her clients.

Angharad advises on the full range of private client work including drafting wills, setting up and administering trusts, estate planning, preparing lasting powers of attorney and administering deceased estates. 

Angharad writes and lectures extensively. She has spoken at a number of conferences including the Law Society’s Private Client conference, and has contributed to publications including the Financial Times, The Spectator and The Daily Telegraph, as well as specialist legal publications.

• Advising a globally mobile non-domiciled couple with assets in a number of jurisdictions: The couple had been living in the UK while their youngest child was at boarding school, however the changing domicile rules mean they are relocating to the Middle East. Angharad has advised on the changes to the domicile system and preparation of Wills and LPAs. She has also acted as an intermediary between their various advisers in a number of jurisdictions including Jersey, Switzerland and the UAE.
• Wills, estate planning for a ultra high net worth Indian domiciled couple who have lived in the UK for many years: Angharad has made Wills and LPAs for the couple, liaising with advisers in other jurisdictions about the preparation of separate Wills there. Angharad has advised on the India/UK double tax treaty and has been involved in multi-jurisdictional estate planning. 
• Advising a business owner on estate planning, Wills and LPAs: This client is a director of a business and has a very high income so Angharad has advised on making regular gifts out of surplus income, including into trust. She has also prepared a Will and LPAs. The client is a widower who is keen to pass on his estate to his three children in the most tax efficient way possible.
• Administering a high value estate with assets in France, the US and the UK The client died in the UK but was originally from France: The bulk of her estate in the UK was left to charity. Angharad has liaised with the charities, appropriated a property to charity and liaised with HMRC in relation to a compliance check. She has also liaised with the lawyers and other advisers in the US and France.
• Advising a French born widow who is relocating to France:
  The client is relocating to France following the death of her English husband and so Angharad is working with her advisers in France to plan the move and ensure that she can pass on her estate in the most efficient way possible.

Angharad read French and Italian at the University of Edinburgh, and this included a period studying at the Universite de la Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris and at the Universita per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy. She gained a distinction in the Legal Practice Course at the College (now University) of Law, Guildford.
