Of the 25 years since the introduction of adjudication, 20 have followed the Court of Appeal drawing attention to the tension between adjudication and insolvency. 

Russell-Cooke partner Mark Fletcher and senior associate Ricky Cella focus on the three key elements that distinguish adjudication from litigation, arbitration and other forms of ADR. Mark is a partner in the commercial litigation team. He advises on a broad range of disputes involving individuals, charities and businesses across a large number of business sectors, including construction, property development, IT, sports, events, hospitality, retail, medical and other legal professionals.

Ricky is a senior associate in the commercial litigation team. He has particular experience in construction disputes (both commercial and residential), actions for infringement and unlawful use of intellectual property and commercial debt recovery. Ricky also advises clients on director and partnership disputes, general contractual issues and the use of alternative dispute resolution procedures, such as mediation.
