Birth Trauma Association lists Russell-Cooke as Trusted Legal Partner
The Birth Trauma Association (BTA) has published a list of its Trusted Legal Partners, which includes Russell-Cooke as one of six recommended firms.
To address the need for compassionate and high-quality legal advice that many experience in the wake of a traumatic birth, the BTA has created a panel of legal partners trusted to advise on making a complaint to the hospital, asking for copies of birth records, gaining access to specialist services or employment rights after traumatic birth. At Russell-Cooke, in the event a traumatic birth could have been avoided, the medical negligence team is able to secure early payments to assist clients in gaining access to specialist services and other expenses that have arisen as a consequence of negligence.
The charity, which was founded and is run by women who have experienced birth trauma and is the only UK charity solely dedicated to supporting women who have experienced traumatic birth, states on its website:
We find that most traumatised parents are looking for a firm that will give honest information about their chances of success, will be sympathetic and understanding about the trauma they have been through and will provide a high-quality, professional service.
Consultant Bernadette McGhie comments:
The partnership with BTA is a natural alliance given the wealth of experience we have as a team acting for women and babies injured during the course of or around pregnancy and childbirth. We welcome the opportunity to use our expertise not only for our clients but also in promoting the call for safer childbirth in all areas of the country.
A client adds:
Thank you for all of your kindness, support, compassion and professionalism throughout the last four years and for getting to the point of being able to settle the case. I appreciate everything that you have done for me.
