Russell-Cooke welcomes four new partners
We are delighted to announce the promotion of four senior associates to partner with effect from 1 July 2022. The four new partners are Carla Whalen in the charity and social business team, Jemma Pollock in the family team, and Suzanne Mynors in the private client team and former employee Thomas Bond.
Carla Whalen joined Russell-Cooke as an associate in the 2017, and was appointed senior associate in 2019. She advises clients on employment matters, including employment contracts, consultancy agreements and volunteer agreements, flexible working and family rights, discrimination and whistleblowing issues, as well as providing advice on data protection matters.
Her clients include schools, educational charities, and those operating in the build-to-rent and private rented sector.
Jemma Pollock trained at Russell-Cooke, qualifying into the family team in September 2013. She became a senior associate in 2019. She advises clients on a broad range of family matters including divorce and financial matters following separation, pre and post-nuptial agreements, and private law children matters. Her experience includes working not only for couples who are married or cohabiting, but also for wider family members, business partners and joint property owners.
Jemma is an active member of Resolution, the organisation for family law professionals, and is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in cases involving complex financial remedies upon separation and financial provision for children.
Suzanne Mynors qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and joined Russell-Cooke’s Private Client team in Putney in February 2020. She has almost 25 years’ experience advising clients in relation to wills and succession planning, probate and estate administration, inheritance tax planning, powers of attorney and court of protection matters for those lacking mental capacity.
Suzanne has acted on complex estate administrations including assets in foreign jurisdictions, multiple property interests, and problematic life time gifts and challenging family dynamics. She provides estate planning advice for vulnerable people such as children with additional needs and regularly advises on trusts and tax matters.
These promotions bring the total number of partners at Russell-Cooke to 65.
Along with these promotions, the firm has also announced seven senior associate promotions, also effective from 1 July 2022. The new senior associates are:
