Russell-Cooke charts progress in Responsible Business Report 2024-5
Russell-Cooke has today published its annual Responsible Business Report, which details the firm’s progress against its objectives across a range of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria.
The report outlines the firm’s commitments and achievements relating to the four pillars of its Responsible Business strategy: our environment, access to justice, our people and our community.
This year's report reflects on a year of successes which have included:
- the roll out of a new responsible procurement policy, a central component of the firm's broader environmental commitments
- continued net zero status, and membership of the Science Based Targets Initiative
- a new legal aid contract enabling the firm to continue delivering legal aid services until at least June 2026
- continued progress on gender diversity and an increase in female partners
- the launch of a firm-wide volunteering scheme.
Responsible Business, not least including climate change, is core to our firm and our strategy – informing and instigating the decisions we take. With our 2030 climate target in place, and as we approach the beginning of a new strategic cycle in 2025-26 those decisions will continue to drive us forward, with the progress made in recent years a platform for long term responsible and resilient business.
Looking back over the course of the last year, I am proud of the progress that has been made in pursuit of our responsible business goals and, in particular, the dedication and passion demonstrated by my colleagues across the firm in support of our people, our communities and our planet.
